Insulation Treatment for
Reliable Electrical Windings

VPI, varnishing, baking and curing support for rewound and repaired electrical machines.

Electrical windings fail when insulation loses its ability to withstand voltage, heat, vibration, moisture, contamination and mechanical stress. In motors, generators and alternators, the insulation system must provide electrical separation, thermal transfer and mechanical stability. If voids, moisture pockets, loose windings or weak insulation remain inside the winding, the machine becomes more vulnerable to earth fault, shorted turns, partial discharge, overheating and repeated breakdown.

PEI provides VPI and treatment services to strengthen winding insulation after rewinding, coil replacement or repair. The service includes vacuum pressure impregnation, varnishing, impregnation, baking, curing, moisture removal and resin treatment for rewound machines, coils and electrical windings.

This page covers PEI’s treatment capability for improving insulation bonding, reducing moisture impact, filling internal voids and improving the reliability of repaired electrical machines.
