Industrial motors, generators, alternators and coils must be tested carefully before being cleared for dispatch or commissioning. A rewound or repaired machine should not be judged only by visual condition. Its insulation strength, winding health, electrical balance, mechanical running condition, vibration behaviour and no-load performance must be verified wherever applicable.

PEI provides testing and quality services for repaired, rewound, refurbished and inspected electrical rotating machines. The testing scope may include insulation resistance, polarization index, winding resistance, surge comparison, AC high voltage, DC Hi-Pot, Tan Delta, capacitance, no-load testing, vibration checks, current balance checks, noise/heating observation and final quality clearance.
